Pygora Goats

Pygora goats originated by crossing registered white Angora goats with registered Pygmy goats. Pygora goats are registered through the PBA. PCA goats originated by crossing registered Colored Angora goats with registered Pygmy goats. PCA goats are a registered through the PCA. The result of crossing these bloodlines is a smaller animal with a big personality. The fiber is classed according to its texture and type, A, B or C. Type A is fine and curly, type C is more of a cashmere type of fiber. We breed mainly type A goats here.

PCA and Pygora goats come in a multitude of colors including blacks, white, red, and most anything in between. They are a bit hardier than the Colored Angoras but produce a bit less fiber. They also require less feed to produce the fiber. They make wonderful pets so the extras males can be wethered (castrated) and sold easily, assuming they are tame.
